Top Korean Dramas 2014

Hey guys!

Today I decided that I should share with you my 9 korean dramas of 2014. The dramas stated below are dramas I would recommend to anyone looking for dramas to watcha nd not sure where to start. These dramas are all of personal preference as I watch dramas according to my mood. Therefore, the genre I watch are not always constant.

With all that said, If anyone happen to have any dramas there would love to recommend. Do always feel free to comment below. Would be total open to suggestions! ;)

Healer

A decades-old incident involving a group of friends who ran an illegal broadcasting station brings together three different people—a mysterious night errand guy with the codename "Healer" (Ji Chang-wook) who happens to possess top-notch fighting skills, a reporter from a second-rate tabloid news website (Park Min-young), and a famous journalist at a major broadcast station (Yoo Ji-tae) . On the journey to discover the truth and resolve the mystery from the past, they will have to deal with the conflict of truth versus fate.

Bride of the century

Taeyang Group is the largest conglomerate in South Korea. The Choi family who runs Taeyang has supposedly been under a curse for a hundred years that the first bride of the eldest son will always die. When the wealthy heiress Jang Yi-kyung disappears right before her wedding to chaebol heir Choi Kang-joo (Lee Hong-gi), Na Doo-rim (Yang Jin-sung), a lookalike impostor, is brought in to take her place. But unlike the cold and calculating Yi-kyung, Doo-rim is sweet and sunny, and Kang-joo falls genuinely in love with her. As the wedding plans progress, Kang-joo and Yi-kyung's mothers both scheme and plot behind the scenes.
Cunning single lady

Na Ae-ra (Lee Min-jung) grew up believing she was born to be only pretty and not smart. Na Ae-ra wants to become a housewife, and after Jung-woo promises that she will be, they get married. During their 100th day wedding anniversary, Jung-woo announces that he has quit his job because he has an idea for a business. Jung-woo's businesses keep failing and Ae-ra struggles to keep them afloat by working multiple jobs. After secretly suffering a miscarriage from the stress of being the sole breadwinner and living in poverty, Ae-ra divorces Jung-woo after four years of marriage. Three years after the divorce, Ae-ra discovers that Jung-woo has become fabulously successful and wealthy, while she is still paying debts that accrued during their marriage. The fun begins when Ae-ra schemes for revenge, with Jung-woo believing that Ae-ra wants him back because he has become wealthy.

Doctor Stranger

As a child, Park Hoon (Lee Jong-suk) and his father Park Cheol (Kim Sang-joong) were tricked and sent to North Korea. In North Korea, Park Hoon was trained to become a doctor by his father who was already a famous doctor. Park Hoon became a genius thoracic surgeon. He deeply fell in love with Song Jae-hee (Jin Se-yeon) in his high school. Park Hoon's father then died and he tried to flee to South Korea with Jae-hee, but lost contact with her and at the end, he fled to South Korea alone, while looking for Jae-hee.
In South Korea, Park Hoon begins to work as doctor in a top hospital Myungwoo University Hospital. Meanwhile, he found a girl that looks exactly like Jae-hee, Doctor Han Seung-hee, who claimed to not know Park Hoon.


You who come from the stars

Do Min Joon is an alien who came to earth in 1609 and lands in the Joseon era, then lives through the next four hundred years to the present day where he works as university professor and falls in love with a haughty top hallyu actress, Chun Song Yi.

The legend of a witch

Soo In (Han Ji Hye), Bok Nyeo (Go Doo Shim), Poong Geum(Oh Hyun Kyung), and Mi Oh(Ha Yun Soo) were cellmates in an all-women's prison. Though they all came from different backgrounds and had their own reasons for being in jail which later turn out to have a common thread intertwined, they were able to come together as friends through bakery lessons offered by the prison. As they grow closer like sisters, forge a bond based on their common grievances and lean on each other for support and become more talented bakers they make plans together for life after prison: to open their own bakery and challenge a big conglomerate, Shinhwa Bakery, for an exact revenge.

Cha Woo-Jin (Chun Jung-Myung) is a prosecutor. 15 years ago, he lost his first love Seung-Hee (Kim So-Hyun) to a crime. Since then, he has devoted himself to violent crime cases. While he looks for a criminal, a female high school student Jo Eun-Bi (Kim So-Hyun), becomes involved in the case. Section Chief Han (Shin Eun-Jung) and a prosecution investigation officer (Park Won-Sang) works with Cha Woo-Jin. 


Emergency couple

While in their early twenties, a medical school student, Oh Chang-min(Choi Jin-hyuk ), and a dietitian, Oh Jin-hee( Song Ji-hyo), fall in love and marry despite his family's strong opposition.Chang-min comes from a family of wealthy, successful doctors; they think Jin-hee isn't good enough for him, and after he marries her, they cut him off without a cent. In order to earn money right away, Chang-min gives up his dream of becoming a doctor, and instead becomes a pharmaceutical salesman. He is miserable at his job, while Jin-hee's inferiority complex deepens as her husband's family continues to look down on her. They begin to fight constantly and eventually get a divorce. Six years later, Chang-min has gone back to med school to pursue his dream, while Jin-hee has also put herself through med school. They end up as interns at the same hospital, where they'll have to work in the emerency room together for three months.

The mermaid/ surplus princess

Aileen(Jo Bo-ah) is a mermaid princess who is in love with Kwon Shi-kyung(Song Jae-rim ), a human celebrity chef. While recording a TV show next to the Han River, Shi-kyung hits his head and falls into the river, and Aileen stops him from drowning by kissing him underwater. Shi-kyung is pulled out from the water by Yoon Jin-ah, an intern who works for and is also in love with Shi-kyung. In order to meet Shi-kyung again, Aileen steals a magic potion from the male witch Ahn Ma-nyeo, and is transformed into a human girl. It's only after her transformation that Aileen learns that she has 100 days to find true love, or else she will die and turn into bubbles. Ahn Ma-nyeo helps Aileen by setting her up with the fake identity of "Kim Ha-ni," and sends her to live in a house in Seoul with other young people, most of whom are unemployed and searching for jobs. Among Aileen's new housemates is Lee Hyun-myung(On Joo-wan), Yoon Jin-ah's ex-boyfriend who is trying to win her back. With her new friends to help her, Aileen vows to find a way to win Shi-kyung's love, but in the end she falls in love with Hyun-myung. Although she initially disappears once her 100 days are up, she returns a year later to see her friends again.
